Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead the Plan, Research, development of Data Center architecture, Ensure technical solutions meet the needs of business such as speed, cost,
- performance, and security; Develop Data Center architectures and plan the direction of the platforms towards a 3-5 year technology horizon.
- Continuously identify, review, and recommend potential opportunities for enterprise cost-savings, service quality improvement, and operational efficiency;
- Develop operational strategies such as End of Life (EOL), applicable hardware/software product roadmaps, and vulnerability management processes.
- Provide consultation to large network programs; Liaise with internal technology partners and external vendors to ensure effective communication,
- collaboration, and stakeholder involvement.
- Act as technical authority on Data Center network technologies, and Provide 3rd level support to Network Operations team for project delivery and problem escalations
- Supports sales team through pre-sales and/or post-sales
- Interfaces with customers, vendors, and sales
- Ensures correct and on time implementation of solutions for customer applications, including preparation of space, power, and network
- Prepares and presents technical presentations on the facility
- Assists with customer site surveys as required to insure successful installation of services
- Provides technical support to insure successful customer integration and implementation of company solutions
- Handles all facility issues encountered during day to day operations to ensure 100% uptime for facility operations
- Large data center transformation and IT infrastructure design and architecture covering Compute/Servers, Virtualization and Storage architectures.
- 10+ years Data Center Network Engineering experience
- 10+ years of experience with data center storage, virtualization, and computer solutions
- 05+ years of experience designing and deploying data center solutions for large enterprise customers, a solid background in solution consulting isrequired.
- Good oral and written communication skills to communicate to senior leadership and / or clients.
- Proactive and professional approach to personal development.
- Ability to review & understand Data Center design documents including Server, storage, Routing and Switching
- Ability to oversee physical buildout and basic configuration of servers, storage, and DC switches.
- Understanding of methodologies for migrating workloads from legacy DC to new DCs,
- Ability to review test plans, and oversee performance of test plans
- Ability to participate in go live support and manage the vendors during cutover.
