Role: Oracle EBS Finance Techno-functional Specialist
Location: Foster City, CA




Description:
        Senior resource (team lead) for AMS Oracle eBS ERP support.  Position is at client site and requires excellent customer interface skills
        Work on a highly motivated, dynamic, strong functional/technical team supporting Oracle Applications Release R12.
        Excellent customer interface skills and the ability to effectively communicate with business analysts and end users as well as off-shore team members.
        Strong analysis and design skills are required to assist stakeholders in making key business decisions and making recommendations for process improvements, efficiencies, etc.
        Strong written and oral communication skills.
        Interact with the user community to answer questions, assist with day-to-day maintenance and research and resolve application issues.
        Ability to create thorough test scripts and test case scenarios.
        Must have the ability to work independently and unsupervised.
        Have a flexible approach to work with ensured closure of tasks.
        Have a ‘can-do’ attitude and an ability to make pragmatic and practical decisions - without compromising the integrity of the IT system.
        Must possess strong leadership skills and provide guidance and mentoring to team members.
        Ability to understand integration points with various applications and create process flow designs.
        Financial close process in-depth knowledge is a must.

Required:
        Minimum 5+ years functional experience with Oracle E-Business Suite version R12 or greater.
        Functional experience with financial modules of E-Business Suite (GL, AP, PO, FA, Project, INV, Planning).
        Functional experience with Record to Report (RTR) and Projects is a must.
        Strong accounting background.
        Full understanding of integration between modules within E-business suite.
        Experience in working with Oracle Support for issues related to E-Business Suite.
        Experience in life sciences industry is a plus
        Prior AMS (operations support) experience highly preferred.

Preferred:
·         Experience with Release 12.
·         The ability to write and understand SQL statements.
·         Experience with Reporting tools like Hyperion.
·         Experience with XML/BI publisher.
·         Experience with SOX controls & reporting
·         Knowledge and experience working with Continuous improvement efforts in an AMS environment.

LinkedIn is looking for a Principal Business Systems Analyst in the Business Applications team who is a subject matter expert in multiple domains of oracle applications, effective in collaboration, facilitation and supporting the ERP BSA team and business partners.  The successful candidate will be a seasoned business analyst with leadership skills and extensive knowledge and experience in designing and building complex, highly scalable and dependable application systems. Responsibilities:

Process Enablement & Optimization
  • Drives multiple project implementations and thoroughly conversant with systems development life cycle process.
  • Performs fit-gap analysis and supervises junior team members in gathering requirements and problem solving.
  • Designs medium-large sized cross-functional project solutions that meet efficiency, maintainability and usability goals.
  • Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of the business processes of supported products and applications, and works with the customers and various stakeholders to develop cost effective, elegant solutions to business problems
  • Engage, coordinate and align with business partners on projects.
  • Manifests broad domain expertise in business processes and systems.
  • Ensure disciplined development methodology is followed for continuous evolution and optimization for the Oracle solutions.

Support & Compliance
  • Provides tier 3 support, including escalations for aged, unresolved tier 1 and 2 issues

Qualifications
  • Degree in Business Administration or Computer Science. MBA or a MS in Information Systems preferred but not required.
  • 10+ years of experience in implementation, development, process re-engineering and support of Oracle EBS applications Suite mainly Oracle Financials which include all aspects of General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Global Intercompany, Sub-Ledger Accounting, Cash Management, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, Purchasing, EB Tax, Approvals Management, Oracle Time and Labor and Oracle Self-service applications
  • 3+ years’ experience in delivery, deployment and support (on-shore and off-shore) for an Oracle ERP in a global company.
  • Must have strong understanding of SOX controls, compliance and change management for business systems.
  • Ability to identify, gather requirements, design and developing interfaces from 3rd party systems into Oracle applications.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation and collaboration skills.
  • Successful track record in delivering Business System solutions on time and on budget.
  • Demonstrated successful working relationships with IT and Business Partners.
